Updated with an official press release from McFarlane Toys at the bottom of this article.

Coming out of left field is some breaking news in the world of DC Comics toys. McFarlane Toys has entered a three-year licensing agreement with Warner Bros. Consumer products to produce collectibles based on the DC Multiverse.

Starting in 2020, McFarlane Toys will begin releasing 6″-12″ ultra-posable action figures based on characters from DC’s stable of characters from comics, movies, and video games – along with corresponding vehicles and accessories.

Unfortunately, the figures do not seem to be in a far along enough stage to be shown at Toy Fair, but keep your fingers crossed for some sort of reveal.

Who knew that I would ever enter the world of McFarlane Toys again?! I guess I will be shelling out more money to them now…

It is interesting the article points out the specific size of the action figures. (ME SPECULATING) This leads me to believe that smaller size figures (1/18 scale) might be available to other companies, and could potentially have already landed a toy maker (please be Funko!).

Thoughts are always welcome, but let us know what you are most excited for in the comment section below!

Stay tuned for more updates as they are made available.

  1. Personally I think this spells the end for DC Collectibles making action figures. If you remember a few weeks back, DC Collectibles was swept up by Warner Bros Consumer Products. These new licensing announcements coupled with the fact of a DC Entertainment “clean-up” leads me to think this way…
