Toy Fair 2019 is in full swing, and new major player on the DC toys scene Todd McFarlane is at the convention talking up his new license. Of course he doesn’t have anything to show at Toy Fair for the DC Multiverse line, but he has stated in a previous interview that we should at least see some concept work at San Diego Comic-Con.
One of the most interesting things that he does say is that we should see product on store shelves in January of 2020, which doesn’t add up since Mattel should still have it until April of 2020. Maybe there is some sort of loophole in the agreement that someone like me doesn’t know about though.
In the video below, Todd promises the best DC Comics figures that McFarlane Toys can do. He also says that the line will consist of movie, TV series, animated, comic book and video game based figures. He has been wanting to take a crack at this franchise since beginning the company and his dream if finally coming true. Hopefully he will not disappoint…
The DC Multiverse collector figures and related toys will be available at major retail locations beginning in 2020.
