As if you needed to add yet another Heath Ledger The Joker collectible to your collection, Queen Studios is getting ready to drop and absolute gorgeous 1/3 scale The Joker statue! The company shared a few images of the head sculpt and base (which you can check out below).
The sculpt looks absolutely amazing, which seems to be typical of this up and coming company. Just check out their Wonder Woman bust we posted about the other day. Just like it, Queen Studios takes extraordinary measures to realistically recreate the likeness of their subjects.
You can get a feel of just how large this piece will be, as it is almost the size of the painters hand. The paint application looks very good, seeing as it isn’t a completed piece. The smear of the red around the mouth and the black around the eyes accurately captures the look of Heath Ledger from The Dark Knight.
I am absolutely excited to see how this one finally turns out. Check out the images of the upcoming statue below!

About The Dark Knight Trilogy:
The Dark Knight Trilogy is a set of three Christopher Nolan Batman movies. It includes Batman Begins (2005), The Dark Knight (2008), and The Dark Knight Rises (2012). Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, and Cillian Murphy appeared in all three movies.
All cast and crew members worked on all three movies, except for music composer James Newton Howard who did not work on The Dark Knight Rises. Composer Hans Zimmer worked together with Howard on the first two films and made the soundtrack for the last movie by himself. Katie Holmes played Rachel Dawes in Batman Begins, but was replaced by Maggie Gyllenhaal in The Dark Knight. Liam Neeson appeared as Ra’s al Ghul in Batman Begins and in The Dark Knight Rises.
Heath Ledger received an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role as The Joker in The Dark Knight. He died before the movie was released.
All the three movies became a success with The Dark Knight becoming the number one grossing movie in 2008. The Dark Knight Rises is the number two highest grossing movie in 2012.
