It never ceases to amaze me that product inevitably gets to store shelves before ever being announced. As evidence, AsokaTheGeek has found a new wave of McFarlane Toys DC Multiverse Batman figures to prove the point. In all, there are five new Batman figures in this wave. The set was found in a Walmart in Westminster, CA.
The wave includes (with barcodes in case you go hunting)
- Batman (Justice League) – 787926180329
- Batman (Hush 2) – 787926180213
- Batman (Injustice Gang) – 187926180367
- Damian Batman (Batman of Bethlehem) – 787926180312
- White Lantern Batman (Brightest Day) – 787926180343
I guess it wouldn’t be a DC Multiverse wave without Batman. I have harped on this before, but I think the community is getting tired of Batman after Batman releases. At this point in the line, we want more than him and his family. I get it. The line is winding down, and McFarlane Toys wants to squeeze every bit of profit he can from the molds he created. At the same time, you have to wonder if this is the type of product we are going to see from the rest of the line? Reuse after reuse?
