The last week of March is going to be a busy one for fans of McFarlane Toy’s DC action figures. Over the weekend, the company announced that two Page Puncher figures would go up for pre-order this week. Now, we have news that three DC Multiverse figures will go up for pre-order as well!
The three new figures going up for pre-order this week are Adam Strange, Batman, and Deadshot. I know you are saying, “Not another Batman figure”, but hear me out… This one is going to be great. It is based on the classic Batman: Year Two story that ran in Detective Comics.
The Adam Strange and Deadshot figures are classic representations of the characters. We know that, at the very least Adam Strange and Batman will be getting Platinum Edition figures as well.
You can check out a look at the upcoming figures from McFarlane Toys’ official Instagram posts. There is currently no information about the cost or a release date. Stay tuned for that information as well as pre-order links.
Who is Deadshot?
Deadshot, also known as Floyd Lawton, is one of the deadliest assassins in the DC Universe. A master marksman with unparalleled precision, he never misses a shot—making him a highly sought-after mercenary. First appearing in Batman #59 (1950), Deadshot evolved from a tuxedo-wearing vigilante into a lethal antihero known for his iconic red eyepiece and wrist-mounted firearms.
A key member of the Suicide Squad, Deadshot operates with a cold, calculated efficiency, often struggling with his own moral code and a deep, hidden desire to care for his daughter. While he frequently clashes with Batman and other DC heroes, his complex character and undeniable skills make him one of the most formidable assassins in comic book history.
Who is Adam Strange?
Adam Strange is a classic DC Comics hero known for his intergalactic adventures and deep connection to the planet Rann. First appearing in Showcase #17 (1958), he was an ordinary archaeologist until a mysterious Zeta-Beam transported him across the cosmos to Rann, where he became the planet’s greatest champion.
Armed with advanced Rannian technology, including a jetpack and energy weapons, Adam Strange defends his adopted world from cosmic threats while balancing his love for Alanna, the daughter of Rann’s leading scientist. Often seen as DC’s answer to classic pulp sci-fi heroes, his stories blend high-stakes action with themes of love, duty, and the challenge of being a hero split between two worlds.
What is Batman: Year Two?
Batman: Year Two is a classic DC Comics storyline that ran in Detective Comics #575-578 (1987). Written by Mike W. Barr with art by Alan Davis, Todd McFarlane, and others, this story serves as a follow-up to Batman: Year One and explores Bruce Wayne’s early years as the Dark Knight.
In Year Two, Batman faces off against the Reaper, a brutal vigilante with no qualms about killing criminals. As Gotham’s protector struggles with his moral code, he makes the shocking decision to wield a gun—the same weapon that took his parents’ lives. The story delves into themes of justice, vengeance, and the line between hero and executioner. While controversial, Batman: Year Two remains a significant chapter in Batman’s history, influencing later interpretations of the character.
