As seen on The McFarlane Toys Show – the McFarlane BvS Alfred Pennyworth figure launches for pre-order April 16th at select retailers! The figure gives us our first version of the Jeremy Irons Alfred Pennyworth from McFarlane Toys. While Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was not my favorite DC movie, I am stoked we are getting this version of the character.

Who is Alfred Pennyworth?
Alfred Pennyworth in the Zack Snyder universe (DCEU) is portrayed by Jeremy Irons and reimagined as a more hands-on, tech-savvy, and combat-seasoned version of Bruce Wayne’s iconic butler. This version of Alfred maintains his traditional role as the loyal guardian and confidant of Bruce, but he’s also an invaluable ally in Batman’s war on crime. He often acts as mission control, providing tactical support, and managing high-tech operations from the Batcave.
Irons’ Alfred exudes dry wit, sharp intellect, and a no-nonsense demeanor. He’s deeply pragmatic, occasionally sarcastic, and not afraid to challenge Bruce when necessary. He offers both emotional grounding and strategic insights. His background hints at military or intelligence experience, evidenced by his skill with advanced machinery, coding, and weapons systems. Alfred is shown piloting the Batwing remotely, maintaining Batman’s gear, and even helping analyze metahuman data in preparation for the formation of the Justice League.
This Alfred is less of a father figure and more of an equal partner in Batman’s crusade. He is resourceful, wise, and always prepared. His presence in Snyder’s films adds a grounded, human element to the larger-than-life battles of gods and heroes.
