New Target Exclusive Cyborg Superman Announced!

Fans should be on the hunt as McFarlane Toys has announced another exclusive for the store. Say hello to Cyborg Superman from the “Revenge of the Green Lanterns” story. This time, the figure will be in-store only, at least according to the Instagram post.

There is no word on the exact date for release other than “soon.” You can check out the image below for a quick tease of the Cyborg Superman action figure.

Revenge of the Green Lanterns: Storyline

“Revenge of the Green Lanterns” is a major arc in the Green Lantern series, written by Geoff Johns and illustrated by Ethan Van Sciver and Ivan Reis. The storyline is collected in Green Lantern (Volume 4) #10–13 and follows Hal Jordan as he discovers that many Green Lanterns he believed to be dead—killed during his time as Parallax—are actually alive and held captive by the Manhunters in a hidden sector.

Cyborg Superman’s Role

Cyborg Superman serves as the main antagonist in this arc, leveraging the Manhunters to systematically hunt down and imprison Green Lanterns. His primary motivation stems from his hatred for life itself, which he sees as flawed and chaotic. Henshaw’s obsession with order and control fuels his alliance with the Manhunters, who share a similar disdain for organic life. His ultimate goal is to dismantle the Green Lantern Corps and prove his superiority as a techno-organic entity.

During the battle, Hal and the rescued Lanterns face off against Cyborg Superman and his Manhunter army. Cyborg Superman’s techno-organic abilities allow him to manipulate and repair his body at will, making him a nearly indestructible force. However, with teamwork and sheer willpower, the Green Lanterns manage to disrupt his control over the Manhunters and escape, though Henshaw himself survives to fight another day.
