Overseas figure manufacturer FondJoy has officially pulled back the curtain on its next highly anticipated DC release: the Black Suit Superman figure, based on Henry Cavill’s iconic resurrection costume from Zack Snyder’s Justice League. The prototype photos of the figure showcase an impressive new sculpt, signaling a strong entry into the market for this fan-favorite look.

The announcement follows FondJoy’s success with its 1/9 scale versions of Superman and Batman, which have been praised by collectors for their screen-accurate detailing and articulation. Thanks to the Facebook group FondJoy Global, we have our first look at the FondJoy Black Suit Superman figure.

Refined Head Sculpt and High Detail

The prototype reveals a figure entirely covered in the sleek, metallic black suit, with the silver emblem prominently displayed on the chest. Key details confirm FondJoy is continuing its commitment to quality:

• Refined Head Sculpt: The new head sculpt captures the likeness of Henry Cavill, and appears even more refined than previous FondJoy Superman releases. This gives the figure a more intense and accurate look to the Man of Steel.
• Scale: The figure is expected to continue the company’s preferred 1/9 scale, standing approximately 7 inches tall. This places it slightly taller than standard 1/12 scale figures.
• Accessories: Superman is packaged with a flight stand, two extra pair of hands, and an alternate head.

A Highly Requested DC Look

While this isn’t my favorite look for the character, the black suit, also known as the Regeneration Suit, has been one of the most requested looks from the Henry Cavill era, symbolizing Superman’s resurrection and rebirth. While other companies have released versions, FondJoy’s dedication to the higher-end 1/9 scale market makes this a premium option for serious collectors.
