Mondo Teases Stunning New Mondo Superman The Animated Series Figure

In a recent Facebook post, the high-end collectible manufacturer, gave fans a first look at their upcoming Mondo Superman The Animated Series Figure.

The teaser image, which focuses specifically on the iconic “S” shield across the Man of Steel’s chest, confirms that the company is expanding its acclaimed DC 1/6 scale line into the beloved Bruce Timm and Paul Dini “Diniverse.”

You can currently purchase from BigBadToyStore!

A First Look at the Man of Tomorrow

While the image only showcases the chest and torso, the craftsmanship is immediately recognizable. The figure appears to utilize a matte finish that perfectly captures the aesthetic of the 1996 classic.

Following the massive success of Mondo’s Batman (from Batman: The Animated Series) and their recent X-Men ’97 line, the Mondo Superman The Animated Series Figure is expected to feature:

  • Multiple interchangeable heads (including “Classic” and “Heat Vision” looks).
  • A wide array of hands and accessories (likely including Kryptonite or a piece of the Daily Planet).
  • The signature heavy-chested, tapered-waist silhouette that defined the character’s look in the 90s.

The Legacy of Superman: The Animated Series

Premiering in 1996 on the heels of Batman: The Animated Series, Superman: The Animated Series (STAS) redefined the character for a new generation. Voiced by Tim Daly, this version of Clark Kent was powerful yet vulnerable, facing off against legendary foes like Lex Luthor, Brainiac, and Darkseid.

The show was praised for its “Raygun Gothic” architectural style and its ability to balance high-stakes cosmic action with the human elements of the Daily Planet newsroom. By adding a Mondo Superman The Animated Series Figure to their lineup, Mondo is giving fans a chance to own a museum-quality representation of what many consider the definitive version of the character.

When Can You Pre-Order?

Mondo typically follows these social media teases with a full “Drop” announcement within a few weeks. Collectors should keep a close eye on Mondo’s official channels and the “The Drop” newsletter for pricing and expected shipping dates.

Given how quickly the Batman and Joker figures sold out, DC fans will need to be ready to strike when this Man of Steel finally takes flight.
