@robdtoys is at it again with another look at an upcoming figure, and this time it is the DC Multiverse Brandon Routh Superman figure! This is a figure that quite a few fans have been wanting to add to their collections for quite some time.
As you can see from the embedded images below, the figure looks to use some of the parts from the Christopher Reeve Superman figure (arms, legs, etc…) with a newly sculpted head. He looks to have a cloth cape which is perfect. Accessories include a trading card and base. Interesting that they did not include any other accessories with this figure.
What are your thoughts about the DC Multiverse Brandon Routh Superman?
About Superman Returns:
Directed by Bryan Singer, Superman Returns serves as a spiritual successor to the original Christopher Reeve films, picking up after the Man of Steel has been absent from Earth for five years. Having traveled to the remains of Krypton to search for survivors, Clark Kent returns to a world that has moved on. Metropolis is different, and more importantly, Lois Lane has built a new life, winning a Pulitzer Prize for her editorial “Why the World Doesn’t Need Superman” and raising a young son with her fiancé, Richard White.
As Clark resumes his role at the Daily Planet, his arch-nemesis Lex Luthor—having escaped prison—embarks on a megalomaniacal plot to create a new landmass using stolen Kryptonian technology. Luthor’s plan involves a massive crystal growth in the Atlantic Ocean that threatens to cause global catastrophe by displacing sea levels and destroying existing continents. Superman must rediscover his place in a society that has learned to live without him while facing a threat that utilizes his own heritage against him, leading to a climactic struggle to save billions of lives.
