Thanks goes out again to CJ Romain over at our Mattel DC Universe Facebook group. He has provided a screenshot of the product description for a brand-new Mattel 3-pack collection that brings one of Gotham City’s most intense rivalries to the 12-inch scale. This latest release, part of the DC Premier line, features the Dynamic Duo, Batman and Nightwing, squaring off against the monstrous, oversized Man-Bat.
Unlike the reveal from earlier today, this set is a 12″ scale 3-pack. This is specifically designed for the little ones, but still packs a punch for collectors. Like before, no product images have been revealed, just descriptions.
The Heroes: Batman and Nightwing Lead the Charge
The core of this set revolves around Gotham’s protectors. The Batman figure included in this Mattel DC 12-inch action figures pack features the iconic silhouette that has defined the Dark Knight for generations. One of the standout physical attributes of this specific Batman figure is the inclusion of a brushed tricot fabric cape. Hopefully this is the softer material rather than the harder material Spin Master used.
Joining Batman is his original protégé, Nightwing. Dick Grayson remains one of the most popular characters in the DC Universe, and his inclusion here ensures that fans have a complete team to take on the threats lurking in the shadows. Both heroes are designed with the signature details and vibrant colors that Mattel’s DC line is known for, making them instantly recognizable.
The Villain: An Oversized Man-Bat
While the heroes are certainly a draw, the real showstopper of this 3-pack is arguably the villain. Dr. Kirk Langstrom, better known as Man-Bat, is rendered here as an “Oversized Villain.” In the world of Mattel DC 12-inch action figures, scale is everything, and Man-Bat lives up to the name.
The figure features a spectacular wingspan with intricate textured detail. When Man-Bat spreads his wings, he creates a massive visual impression that dwarfs standard figures. The “half-man, half-bat” aesthetic is captured perfectly with sharpened claw sculpts and a facial expression that highlights his heightened senses and feral nature. This isn’t just a repaint of a standard body mold; it is a dedicated sculpt that emphasizes the character’s monstrous proportions.

Articulation and Playability
Mattel has designed these figures with “7 Posable Joints” to balance durability with playability. Each figure, Batman, Nightwing, and Man-Bat, features articulation at the head, shoulders, hands, and hips. This allows kids to re-create classic crime-fighting scenes or invent entirely new storylines.
The 12-inch scale has become increasingly popular because it offers a “big action play” experience that smaller scales sometimes lack. At this size, the figures are easy to handle for younger fans aged 4 and up, yet they possess enough detail to satisfy those looking to fill out a display case.
Expanding the DC Universe at Home
This 3-pack provides a complete “Hero vs. Villain” narrative right out of the box. However, Mattel isn’t stopping here. This set is part of a larger ecosystem of 12-inch DC figures. Fans can collect other characters from the DC Universe to build out their own version of the Justice League or a more expansive Rogues Gallery.
As with most major Mattel releases, other figures in the 12-inch line are sold separately and are subject to availability.
Keep your eyes on major retailers and dccollectors.com for more updates on where to snag this set for your own collection.
