For years, collectors have been meticulously building their definitive Batman: The Animated Series (BTAS) displays with Mondo’s incredible line of 1/6 scale figures. We’ve seen the Dark Knight himself, the Clown Prince of Crime, and even massive releases like Man-Bat and Clayface. But one major piece of the Bat-family puzzle has been missing, until now.

Mondo has officially dropped a teaser image on Instagram confirming that the Mondo Batgirl 1/6 Scale Figure is finally in development. While the post was a “silent” tease without a lengthy caption, the silhouette and iconic design leave no room for doubt: Barbara Gordon is coming to the Mondoverse.

A First Look at the Tease

The teaser image (shown below) features Batgirl standing heroically on a Gotham rooftop. True to the Bruce Timm aesthetic, the figure captures the sleek, stylized proportions that fans of the 1992 classic series adore.

From the rear view provided, we can see:

  • The classic blue-and-grey (or black) color palette with the bright yellow utility belt.
  • The signature red hair flowing from the cowl, sculpted with the bold, thick lines characteristic of the show’s animation style.
  • A dramatic, wind-swept cape that suggests Mondo will continue their trend of offering multiple “switch-out” capes for various posing options.

What to Expect from the Mondo Batgirl 1/6 Scale Figure

Based on previous releases in the BTAS line, like the recent Batman Redux or the Harley Quinn figures, we can expect the Mondo Batgirl 1/6 Scale Figure to be a flawless “animated-to-physical” translation.

1. Paint Applications Mondo’s specialty is their paint style, which makes a 3D object look like a 2D drawing brought to life. I expect Batgirl to feature this same eye-popping finish.

2. Iconic Accessories What is Batgirl without her gadgets? I anticipate a variety of accessories, potentially including:

  • Multiple portrait sculpts (Standard, Determined, and perhaps a Barbara Gordon unmasked head).
  • A Batarang and Grapnel launcher.
  • A variety of interchangeable hands (including a “thumbs up” or a hand holding a book, nodding to her librarian roots).
  • A themed base with the Bat-logo.

3. Articulation and Scale Standard Mondo 1/6 figures typically feature around 30 points of articulation. Given Batgirl’s more agile and slender frame compared to the “tank” build of Batman or Bane, fans are eager to see how Mondo hides the joints to maintain that seamless animated look.

The Growing BTAS Collection

With Robin already out in the wild, the “Dynamic Trio” can finally be completed. This line has become the “Gold Standard” for fans who want high-end collectibles that stay 100% faithful to the source material rather than trying to “realism-up” the designs.

While no price or release date has been confirmed yet, most Mondo 1/6 scale figures retail between $190 and $220, depending on the “Timed Edition” or “Exclusive” status.

This teaser is a clear signal that Mondo isn’t slowing down with the DC license. Batgirl is a top-tier character that fans have been requesting for years, and seeing her rendered in this scale is a dream come true for many collectors.
