JAKKS Pacific, Inc., in a powerhouse collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products, officially pulled back the curtain on a great new collection of dolls. The line focuses on the intricate, bold aesthetics of some of the most iconic characters in comic book history.

UPDATE – These are now available for order via the links below at Walmart.com!

A New Era of DC Collectibles

This new series of DC Fashion Dolls is specifically designed to bridge the gap between traditional play and high-end display. While many toy lines focus on action-oriented figures, this collaboration leans into the “fashion doll” medium, allowing for a level of textile detail and stylistic expression often reserved for boutique collector brands.

The initial wave features a heavy focus on the legendary sirens of Gotham City, alongside one of the most powerful heroes in the DC Universe. The lineup includes Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, Catwoman, and Supergirl. Each character has been reimagined as an 11-inch doll, blending their classic comic book silhouettes with modern, eccentric high-fashion sensibilities.

Quality and Articulation for Fans

For the dedicated fans of DC’s roster, the quality of these dolls is the primary draw. Dominick Lisi, Senior Vice President of Marketing at JAKKS Pacific, emphasized that the collection was built to celebrate the “visual impact” and “individuality” of these characters.

Each doll features:

  • 11 Points of Articulation: This allows for a wide range of dynamic posing, whether you are setting up a display shelf or engaging in photography.
  • Rooted Hair: Moving away from molded plastic, the use of rooted hair adds a premium feel.
  • Character-Specific Accessories: From nature-themed elements for Poison Ivy to mischievous accents for Harley Quinn, the accessories are tailored to reflect the specific personalities that fans have loved for decades.

The Rise of the “Kidult” Market

The pricing and distribution strategy for these DC Fashion Dolls highlight growing “kidult” trend in the toy industry. Retailers and manufacturers are increasingly aware that adult collectors represent a massive demographic that demands higher quality and exclusive releases.

By pricing these dolls at $39.97, JAKKS Pacific is positioning them as an accessible premium product. They are sophisticated enough for an adult’s shelf but durable enough for older children.

Availability and Future Releases

Collectors looking to snag the entire set won’t have to wait long. The collection is set to arrive this month. However, there is a catch for those who prefer shopping at various retailers, this specific line is a Walmart exclusive. Fans will need to head to their local Walmart stores or visit Walmart.com to secure their favorite characters.

This launch is just the beginning of what appears to be a long-term partnership. JAKKS Pacific has confirmed that this is the first of several upcoming collections inspired by Warner Bros. franchises. More iconic collector dolls are scheduled for release throughout the year, suggesting that the DC Universe may see even more heroes and villains join this fashion-forward lineup in the coming months.

Whether you are a devotee of the Maid of Might or a follower of the Gotham City Sirens, these DC Fashion Dolls offer a fresh, stylish way to celebrate the legacy of these characters. Keep an eye on your local Walmart shelves as these hit the floor later this month.

  1. Ew! They made Whorley Quinnpool for kids? Gross. I hate what they’ve done to this character.

    1. You can kind of say that about many of the characters. They do adult stuff and kids stuff. Do I agree with it? Not really, but it is what it is at this point.

      1. Yes but it’s mainly the fact that this version of the character is so far off from the og

    2. Olivia Goodwin Avatar
      Olivia Goodwin

it’s a collectors item so i don’t think they’re for kids. also poison ivy is much worse in terms of not being kid friendly.

      1. To me they are tit-for-tat as far as who is worse. It really depends on the version.

      2. At least her costume is accurate to the character. Harley’s is always the new 52 ss version🙄

  2. Suicide Squad 2016 Harley is not Harley Quinn. She’s basically Lollipop Chainsaw. Pass on this fake crap

    1. Guess I am going to have to Google Lollipop Chainsaw now lol

      1. She’s from a video game, that’s the name of it and the characters name is Juliet Starling. Ironically also voiced by Tara Strong

  3. UPDATE – These are starting to show up in Walmart stores now. I saw an Instagram post of a aisle display featuring these yesterday.
