The latest information reveals two major packs that focus on Gotham’s most legendary conflicts: a frosty showdown with Mr. Freeze and a powerhouse battle against Bane.

Before we get started, you might be asking, “Are these the collector figures for 2027?” I am not sure, but it does not sound like it. Even though it comes with the DC Premier title (which sounds collector focused), this sounds more like additional figures in the kids line. With that out of the way, on to the rest of the information.

The Cryo 3-Pack: Batman and Green Lantern Hal Jordan vs. Mr. Freeze

The first major addition to the line is a story-heavy 3-pack featuring Batman and Green Lantern Hal Jordan facing off against Victor Fries. This set is particularly notable for its “Color Change” feature. The included Mr. Freeze comes equipped with a CryoCannon that can be loaded with ice-cold water. When sprayed, the faces of Batman and Hal Jordan will “freeze,” temporarily shifting their normal skin tones to an icy blue tone.

In terms of technical specifications, these Mattel DC Premier action figures stand at a 6.5-inch scale for the heroes, while Mr. Freeze towers over them at 7.25 inches. Each figure boasts 18 movable joints, including double-jointed sections, providing a total of 26 points of articulation. This level of movement allows fans to recreate dynamic combat poses right out of the box.

The accessories in this pack are extensive. Batman is equipped with his IceBreaker Thermal Gear and an IceBreaker Blaster that includes four projectiles. Hal Jordan is not left behind; he comes with an ice-carving Chainsaw Construct that can actually transform into a Capture Clamp Construct. To round out the icy theme, the pack includes five “ice shell” effects that can be attached to the figures to simulate being frozen in ice, along with batarangs and gauntlets.

The Battle for Gotham: Batman and Nightwing vs. Bane

The second reveal focuses on a more grounded, yet equally intense, confrontation. This pack features Batman and Nightwing taking on the “Man Who Broke the Bat,” Bane.

This version of Batman stands out due to his exclusive blue-and-silver suit, a departure from the traditional grey and black. Most importantly for collectors, this Batman includes a full-length dramatic soft goods cape, allowing for much better posing and shelf presence than standard plastic capes. Nightwing accompanies him in his classic blue-and-black suit, armed with his signature Escrima sticks.

Bane remains the centerpiece of this set as a powerhouse figure. Standing at 7.25 inches, the escaped convict is designed with his signature breathing hood and hose. In a unique interactive twist, fans can lift the bottom of his hood to see a portion of the face hidden beneath the mask. This pack also includes specialized Bat-shaped handcuffs to help the duo contain the oversized villain. Like the other sets in the line, these figures feature 22 movable joints for high-action posing.

A New Era for DC Collectors

These Mattel DC Premier action figures represent a concerted effort to provide high-detail, articulated figures that remain accessible for fans 4 years and older. By combining the 6.5-inch scale with 22 to 26 points of articulation, Mattel is carving out a specific niche in the market that balances the durability of play-line toys with the aesthetics of collector-grade items.

As the DC Universe continues to expand, these Mattel DC Premier action figures serve as a great entry point or expansion for any growing collection. Keep an eye out for these packs as they hit shelves, as the combination of soft goods capes and unique “Cryo” play features makes them a standout release for this year.
