This latest wave of the 6-inch DC Retro lineup continues the tradition of capturing the vibrant, quirky charm of the legendary Hanna-Barbera animated series.

The Caped Wonders and Cosmic Imps of Wave 5
Leading the charge for tomorrow’s drop is the Amazonian Princess herself, Wonder Woman. Based entirely on her classic animated appearance, this figure beautifully translates her iconic look from the screen to the shelf. Featuring her traditional red and gold bustier, blue star-spangled shorts, and tall red boots, the sculpt captures the bright aesthetic of the show. Complete with her signature Lasso of Truth and subtle blue highlights molded into her dark hair, this is the definitive retro Wonder Woman fans have been waiting for.
There will also be a variant for this one in the form of her evil counterpart. This will likely be a red label figure.
But what would a Super Friends wave be without some wonderfully weird choices? Also dropping for pre-order tomorrow is a spectacular two-pack or companion set featuring Superman and Mr. Mxyzptlk. McFarlane Toys chose a deep-cut episode variant for the Man of Steel. Instead of just his standard blue suit, this version depicts Superman straight off the Kent family farm, sporting a wide-brimmed orange farmer’s hat and carrying a hoe accessory.
Standing right at his feet is the mischievous interdimensional imp himself, Mr. Mxyzptlk. Dressed in his iconic orange and purple outfit with a tiny bowler hat, the scale looks absolutely perfect next to Superman, barely reaching the Kryptonian’s mid-calf.
Black Vulcan Makes His Figure Debut
Perhaps the most exciting news making waves across the collecting community is the confirmation of Black Vulcan. Created originally for the television show by Hanna-Barbera, Black Vulcan has evolved into a massive cult favorite among DC fans over the decades.
The figure features a bold yellow lightning bolt chevron stretching across a deep navy blue suit. His cowled head features the sharp, swept-back yellow wing fins that made his silhouette so memorable on Saturday mornings. The prototype images shown by McFarlane Toys on their recent live-stream or somewhat depressing though. Yes we are getting a Black Vulcan, but they forgot he does not have pants.
