The SDCC 2026 White Lantern Kyle Rayner figure from McFarlane Toys has quickly become one of the most talked-about releases in the entire DC Multiverse line. Debut releases at San Diego Comic-Con always generate intense collector interest, but bringing Kyle Rayner’s iconic emotional spectrum form to the 7-inch scale has pushed demand into overdrive. Retailing originally for $29.99 on the convention floor, secondary market prices have already spiked significantly, leaving DC Comics collectors asking a critical question: Is this figure a must-have masterpiece, or a slick repaint holding back hidden flaws?

A Stunning Visual Profile with Cosmic Flair

Out of the packaging, the figure makes an undeniable first impression. McFarlane Toys opted for a pearlescent white plastic base across the suit rather than a flat coat of white paint. Under direct lighting, this finish gives off a faint cosmic shimmer that captures the powerful lore of the White Lantern. The deep black contrast panels on the chest and limbs are crisp, centering around a perfectly printed chest emblem.

The head sculpt stands out as a high point for the release. Featuring Kyle Rayner’s classic guard mask painted in a sleek metallic silver, the facial details accurately reflect his modern comic appearance.

The accessory suite included with this Gold Label release gives display fans plenty to work with:

  • Translucent Construct Effects: Two power effects designed to slide over the figure’s fists.
  • Flight Stand & Collector Card: Comes paired with a clear posing base, a decorative foil stand, and a bio card.

Mold Reuse and Scale Issues Raise Questions

While the paint application and cosmic aesthetic score high marks, a deeper look reveals some noticeable drawbacks. Todd McFarlane reused the mold setup from the DC Multiverse Kyle Rayner figure that was released in the 2-pack with Kilowog.

Final Verdict: Should You Buy It?

The SDCC 2026 White Lantern Kyle Rayner is a visual standout that nails the character’s cosmic presence. If you are a die-hard Green Lantern fan looking to complete the emotional spectrum, the impressive shelf presence likely outweighs anything else. However, if you are a casual collector wary of paying high secondary market prices, the restricted hip articulation and scale discrepancies are important factors to consider before tracking one down.

  1. I have the figure as well and have to say i agree with you on every point but one. Saying the accessories give us plenty to work with. There is never much there. Compared to the re-released arkham batman the has a the original accessories and even more added. I just feel they dropped the ball on what could have been the center piece of a collection simply by shorting us on a few accessories.

    1. You are right. I usually glaze over the accessories unless something really special sticks out.
