The LEGO Group, in partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products, has officially announced its newest high-end DC display build: the LEGO Batman Returns Batmobile (76355). Capturing the dark, gothic aesthetic of Tim Burton’s 1992 cinematic masterpiece Batman Returns, this huge set brings the iconic vehicle to life with unprecedented functionality and detail.

Clocking in at 2,269 pieces, the new set marks the very first time Tim Burton’s specific vehicle iteration from the 1992 sequel has been captured in a dedicated large-scale LEGO model. Designed primarily for adult collectors and comic fans, the build captures the vehicle’s legendary elongated bodywork, jet turbine rear engine, opening canopy, and detailed cockpit interior.
Innovative Batmissile Transformation Feature
While previous LEGO iterations of the Batmobile have focused strictly on scale and external appearance, set 76355 introduces a groundbreaking mechanical play feature never before seen in a LEGO Batmobile model.
Builders can trigger an innovative lift-arm mechanism by pressing a button on the vehicle. This action releases the vehicle’s side panels to reveal the slender Batmissile escape vehicle hidden within. The feature allows collectors to recreate the dramatic escape sequence from Batman Returns, giving fans the option to display the model in either its standard full-width Batmobile configuration or its slimmed-down Batmissile mode.
Exclusive Minifigures and Custom Molded Elements
To achieve screen-accurate proportions, the LEGO design team engineered three brand-new LEGO elements specifically for this model. These include a newly designed Batman Minifigure cowl alongside a fresh, custom-molded cape created exclusively for this release.
The included Batman Minifigure stands on its own dedicated display base featuring the official Batman Returns logo. Deep-cut film references are embedded throughout the construction process, including a micro-scale recreation of The Penguin’s tracking device attached to the frame.
