UPDATE: IGN has the scoop!
You can pre-order this for $100 at Mattel Creations at noon EST! Doesn’t sound like any other premium figures will be revealed until January 1!
It includes a rooftop diorama base and a light-up Bat-Signal accessory. The display base even has the ability to create a mist effect when water is placed in the water tower. The figure also includes a posable, wired fabric cape and interchangeable hands.
Mattel is officially making waves with its return to DC direct-to-consumer releases, and the first surprise drop lands today. Going live exclusively on Mattel Creations at 12:00 PM EST (9:00 AM PST), this mystery DC item marks a significant moment for collectors eagerly awaiting Mattel’s higher-end offerings.
Keep eyeing this space, as I will update it throughout the reveal!
While Mattel has kept the exact identity of the piece locked away, clues dropped earlier this week hint at a major character debut. Here is what you need to know to prepare for the launch.
Direct-to-Consumer Mystery: What to Expect
Unlike mass retail launches, Mattel Creations serves as the dedicated storefront for specialty releases, high-end packaging, and direct-to-collector exclusives. Drops on the platform often lean into detailed sculpts, premium display boxes, and limited production runs aimed squarely at adult collectors.
- Launch Time: Today at 12:00 PM EST / 9:00 AM PST
- Where to Buy: Exclusively at Creations.Mattel.com
- Format: Direct pre-order
Because Mattel Creations drops are known to draw heavy site traffic right at launch, having your browser set up ahead of time is key.
Why This Release Has Collector Attention
This drop is one of the first official signals of how Mattel plans to handle high-tier DC products moving forward. Teasers from Mattel point toward something “swooping” in, prompting widespread speculation among fans over whether we are looking at an iconic hero, a classic vehicle, or some other type of collectible.
Securing this initial offering gives collectors an early look at the quality, scale, and direction Mattel is taking with its direct DC lineup.
How to Prepare for the Mattel Creations Drop
- Log into your account: Make sure your Mattel Creations profile is signed in with current payment and shipping credentials active before 12:00 PM EST.
- Bookmark the DC Brand Hub: Keep the main DC portal on Mattel Creations open so you can refresh the page right at launch.
- Checkout quickly: Popular Creations exclusives can sell through their initial allocation rapidly. Once the item appears, proceed straight to checkout.
