Get your wallet ready: Todd McFarlane and his team are dropping three brand-new figures in the 7-inch scale lineup tomorrow. The upcoming wave brings three fresh additions to the McFarlane Collector Edition line, spanning numbers 70-72. Featuring classic comic book designs, premium card stock display stands, and high-demand chase variants, this trio gives DC comic fans plenty of reasons to refresh retail pages as soon as listings go live.
What’s Dropping Tomorrow?
These figures go up for pre-order at noon EST, October 29th. I will update the links below to the individual page links as they go live. Good luck!

- Star Sapphire: | Amazon | BBTS | EE | GameStop | Walmart |
- Val-Zod: | Amazon | BBTS | EE | GameStop | Walmart |
This release spans several distinct corners of the DC Universe, bringing long-awaited costume variants and line debuts into the 7-inch fold. Here is a breakdown of every figure going up for pre-order tomorrow across major online retailers.
McFarlane Collector Edition #70: Star Sapphire (Green Lantern)
Carol Ferris joins the line as Star Sapphire, making her standard release debut in the modern 7-inch scale. Rendered in her iconic violet outfit, Star Sapphire comes with character-specific energy effect accessories and a collectible art card complete with a display holder. For chase collectors, McFarlane Toys is also shipping a limited Platinum Edition variant mixed randomly into retailer cases. The Platinum is her pink costume.
McFarlane Collector Edition #71: Superman (Earth 2)
Taking inspiration from the modern DC Comics multiverse stories, Earth 2 Superman steps into slot #71. This version captures Val-Zod hi his New 52 suit, bringing heavy sculpted texture and signature cape drape to the shelf. Keep a sharp eye out when your package arrives: the Earth 2 Superman Platinum Edition chase figure flips the suit colorway for an instant variant display piece.
McFarlane Collector Edition #72: Mary Shazam (Shazam!)
Rounding out the wave is Mary Shazam (c’mon DC really, not Mary Marvel anymore?), bringing the Shazam Family to the Collector Edition lineup in slot #72. Sporting her classic red and gold suit with detailed lightning emblem sculpting, Mary comes packed with lightning effect pieces and the standard line display stand. As with her wave mates, Mary Shazam will feature a rare Platinum Edition chase variant randomly distributed to pre-order shipments featuring the alternate white and yellow costume.
Platinum Edition Chase Odds and Retailer Info
Because these are part of the mainline McFarlane Collector Edition lineup, each figure is packed at standard retail pricing with the standard 1-in-6 rare Platinum Edition chase ratio. Collectors ordering online stand a chance of receiving the foil-carded Platinum variant in place of the standard release.
Pre-orders officially go live tomorrow morning across select retailers, including BigBadToyStore, Entertainment Earth, Amazon, and the McFarlane Toys Store. Expect stock to move quickly on day one.
