A couple of hours ago, we were told that a new Wonder Woman figure was going to go up for pre-order on July 2. Now we get news that along with her, this McFarlane Toys 90’s Superboy figure will join her! Like his Wonder Woman counterpart, this figure is part of the Page Punchers line and will feature a comic. The comic included is a reprint of Superboy #1 from 1994.
You will be able to pre-order this one (presumably along with a few others) at your favorite retailers like Big Bad Toy Store and Entertainment Earth.
Are you going to be adding this McFarlane Toys Superboy to your collection? Leave a comment and let me know.
Superboy #1 (cover-dated February 1994) kicks off the high-energy solo series starring the fan-favorite “Metropolis Kid” — the cocky teenage clone who burst onto the scene during The Death of Superman storyline. Written by Karl Kesel with art by Tom Grummett, this debut issue follows the young hero as he tries to step out from Superman’s shadow and make a name for himself. Set in the sunny streets of Hawaii, Superboy takes on a new locale, a fresh supporting cast, and faces off against high-tech threats while still clashing with his own identity. With flashy ’90s style, attitude to spare, and a mix of humor and action, this issue launched one of DC’s most iconic teenage superhero runs of the decade.
