As Mattel officially returns to the DC toy license, they are kicking things off with a high-octane entrance. In an exclusive reveal via ComicBook.com, the toy giant has unveiled the DC Bat-Link Batmobile. It’s a revolutionary new vehicle arriving in Fall 2026 that promises to be the most customizable “ride” in Batman’s history.

It’s a modular play system designed to bridge the gap between young fans and long-term collectors.

The standout feature of this new 16-inch vehicle is the Bat-Link system. While the base car features a sleek grey chassis with classic yellow and red tactical accents, it’s built to evolve.

  • The Weapons Bay: By pressing the integrated Bat-symbol at the cockpit, the hood flips open to reveal a hidden arsenal.
  • The Bat-Drone Jetpack: The car comes equipped with a disc-firing Bat-Drone. The drone can detach from the car and attach directly to the back of the new 6.5-inch Batman figure. This serves as a high-tech jetpack.
  • Cross-Line Compatibility: Perhaps the most exciting news for collectors is the ability to “plug in” accessories from across the new DC toyline. You can dock a Robin Cycle to turn the car into an auto-launch cannon or even scavenge gear from villains, like attaching The Joker’s blaster to the Batmobile’s external ports for a customized, stolen-tech aesthetic.

The specifications mentions a “Robin Cycle.” It sounds as if this Batmobile is the first of many vehicles to come in the line.

Scaled for a New Era

The Bat-Link Batmobile is specifically scaled for the newly announced 6.5-inch figure line. This scale is a strategic move by Mattel, offering a size that feels substantial on a shelf while remaining manageable for play. The vehicle is designed to fit a single driver, with the cockpit opening to house the Caped Crusader or any other hero from the upcoming waves.

Mattel’s Return to DC: What We Know

After years under the McFarlane Toys “DC Multiverse” banner, Mattel is reclaiming the license with a focus on “collector-lite” appeal before launching their full-scale adult collector line in 2027. The Bat-Link series represents the first wave of this transition, combining the durability and play features of the DC Super Friends era with the modern sculpts and detail levels today’s fans demand.

The Bat-Link Batmobile is slated for a Fall 2026 release. Stay tuned to DCCollectors.com as we track pre-order dates and retail availability.
