Originally known to collectors as LPZZ, the recently rebranded studio U-P-Finegures (Ultra-Possessional Finegures) has been turning heads with its incredible articulation and hyper-detailed sculpts. Their first few figures have been nothing short of amazing!

Now, the studio is setting its sights on Metropolis.

Prominent figure designer and community insider mightyedwardno1 took to Instagram to share an official test sample of the upcoming LPZZ Hush Superman figure. Accompanied by the simple question, “Test sample, what do u think?”, the post has ignighted intense discussion among action figure fans.

Jim Lee’s Art Style Brought to Life

The Batman: Hush storyline, illustrated by the legendary Jim Lee, remains the visual definitive era for the modern DC Universe. Capturing that specific aesthetic in a six-inch plastic medium is a monumental challenge, but the early test sample of the LPZZ Hush Superman looks to have absolutely nailed it.

Unlike some previous market offerings that fans criticized for feeling a bit too slender or stylized, U-P-Finegures is delivering a Superman with pure “Arnold Schwarzenegger” proportions. The chest is broad, the shoulders are massive, and the musculature is heavily defined, matching the powerhouse look Jim Lee gave Clark Kent during his mind-controlled brawl with Batman in the Gotham sewers.

Challenging the 1/12 Scale Giants

The reveal of this test sample has instantly drawn comparisons to existing heavy hitters, most notably the Medicom MAFEX Hush Superman. While the MAFEX version has long been considered a benchmark for comic-accurate figures, early impressions of this new prototype suggest U-P-Finegures is aiming for a more premium, high-end feel.

The figure stands at approximately 16.3cm (6.42 inches), making it just a fraction taller than standard MAFEX releases. This scale allows it to fit seamlessly alongside existing 1/12 lines while ensuring the Man of Steel still maintains an imposing, heroic height advantage over standard human characters on your shelf. Additionally, early spec sheets indicate the figure will feature a mixed-media presentation utilizing high-grade PVC, ABS, and a tailored cloth cape with integrated wiring for dynamic posing.

Community Reaction and Fan Reception

Collector response to the leak has been overwhelmingly positive, with fans praising the sheer power of the sculpt. The brand has already built an immense amount of goodwill in the community thanks to their highly acclaimed Arkham Knight Batman, Deathstroke and Dark Nights: Metal figures. Their reputation for delaying mass production to implement consumer feedback and iterate on joint engineering has made them a favorite among core hobbyists.

Release Date and Pre-Order Expectations

Because this is an early-stage test sample, U-P-Finegures has not yet locked down an official global release date or finalized the MSRP. However, early bird deposit allocations have already begun surfacing on specialty import sites like Bombusbee and GunDamit, signaling that full production isn’t far off.
