Wonder Festival Shanghai is underway, and InArt Action just dropped a nice look at what is coming down the pipeline for DC figure collectors. The prototype display at the event showcased an impressive mix of comic-inspired releases, spanning classic iconic art styles to the newest flagship runs hitting comic shop shelves right now.
Absolute DC Takes Center Stage
The biggest surprise on the floor was the heavy emphasis on DC’s Absolute Universe line. InArt showcased prototypes for Absolute Batman, Absolute Superman, and Absolute Wonder Woman, giving collectors a new look at how these redesigned interpretations translate into high-end physical figures.
Taking things a step further, InArt also revealed a prototype of Absolute Batman mounted on Killer Croc. The scale and presence of that piece alone stole plenty of attention on the show floor, setting a high bar for what this line aims to deliver.
Classic and Iconic Batman Variants
Beyond the Absolute lineup, Batman fans had plenty more to look at. InArt displayed prototype figures based on Alex Ross’s legendary artwork, capturing his distinct rendered realism in plastic.
The display also featured prototypes from The Dark Knight Returns, featuring updated takes on both Batman and The Joker. Rounding out the Gotham-centric reveals was a massive prototype for Absolute Bane, standing out as one of the largest single figures showcased at the booth.

While these prototypes offer a solid preview of what InArt Action is cooking up, official release windows, pricing, and accessory breakdowns are still under wraps. Based on the detail present in the display pieces, these sculpts appear well along in development, so expect further pre-order announcements and final production details to roll out in the coming months.
